Foreclosure Auction Field Trip with Big Dog Coach, Chris Alcedo

Come join the team for a practical, hands-on discussion and review of an actual mortgage foreclosure. Participate in an overview discussion of the auction process. Learn the intricacies of foreclosure and ask questions.  There may be an opportunity to talk with a foreclosure trustee and you will participate with the team in watching foreclosure trustees extinguish a mortgage through the actual foreclosure auction sale. Watch for the properties that were pre-selected prior to auction to see if they sell and how close we came with our due diligence to being able to capitalize on the foreclosure sales in the current market.

There is no need to travel for this event; it comes to a city near you and will only last about 3 hours, usually 9 to 12.  A flyer with all the info will be emailed and we look forward to you joining us for the first Tuesday foreclosure auction field trip in a city near you.

Who Should Attend?

Attendance is for anyone who hasn’t seen or attended a live foreclosure auction.  Come learn the ropes of buying at foreclosure sale, when to buy and when not to.  Chris has a vast knowledge of the foreclosure process and can explain everything that happens at a foreclosure sale.

No need to travel to one of these sales outside of your area.  The process and this field trip only takes a few hours and Chris will travel to a city near you every few months,  so watch for him to come through and sign up to attend.

Chris Alcedo

Chris was born and raised in North Texas and has lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth area all his life. Chris Attended Texas A&M and finished up at North Texas State University with a major in Business and a minor in Real Estate, making him one of the few people that actually use the field they learned in college. He has quite a varied background of hobbies and loves to play the “stump me” game.

Chris’ professional real estate career started in college when he worked for a land developer doing land and property research at the courthouse while going to school. His first corporate job was in 1986 with PHH Homequity as a Property Inventory Associate and then a Client Inventory Manager responsible for managing and liquidating real estate portfolios acquired from corporate personnel relocations.

In 1991 Chris went to work for Bear Sterns, a New York Wall Street firm in their REO division of EMC Mortgage Corp. in Irving, Tx. Managing very large portfolios of delinquent mortgages and foreclosed real estate Chris worked at EMC until 2008 becoming a Managing Director of Bear Sterns and a Senior Vice President of EMC Mortgage Corp. For the many years with Bear Stearns, as well as after being taken over as Chase Mortgage the last two years Chris managed a 9 billion dollar portfolio of real estate at any one time and oversaw operations in REO, Foreclosure and Bankruptcy. In 2008 Chris went to work for Auction.com managing real estate and foreclosure auction sales for mortgage clients including Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Chase, Ocwen, Citibank and many, many more.

Throughout his career Chris has been a private real estate investor and taught numerous real estate investors how to build real estate holdings. In 2015 Chris left auction.com and found the big dog team. In one form or another Chris has touched on all the various exit strategies used in the big dog training and has experiences well beyond his years in part to managing so much volume through the same single family residential funnel that we all work with as individual investors. He loves helping folks and seeing new investors become successful and independent in their real estate investing career.
